Regarding your story ‘Ruling group has failed a generation of children’ about Pembrokeshire County Council failing to provide a generation of children with a level of education they deserve.
Talking to people on the doorsteps one of the big concerns is the conduct of Pembrokeshire council, particularly around the perks enjoyed by the former Chief Executive.
On services there have been a number of problems with a damning report by education watchdog Estyn in 2011, services for children and young people placed in special measures and problems with pupil referral units.
The sad thing is that this poor performance by the local council is mirrored by a dismal record by the Welsh Government. Wales needs a new government in May with fresh thinking to end Labour’s legacy of failure and give our young people the best start in life. It is only Plaid Cymru that is ready to provide the leadership and future Wales needs.
