The slithery slabs in High Street are lethal in wet weather.
So I urge the local Council to get its act together And try and roughen the surface to made them more secure, For citizens to walk on and not to hit the floor.
They are not fit for purpose on the steeper slopes in town, And if nothing is done about them, folks will be falling down.
Its crucial that the Council acts to improve their current state, Or of injury claims for broken limbs there’ll surely be a spate.
They’re not too bad on the level, but on slopes of 20-degrees, These slippery slabs will take their toll of femurs, wrists and knees.
So take some action councilmen to give us safer hills, Or face the costly prospect of a flood of injury bills.
Unless you urgently take note of this hazardous situation.
You’ll end up taking a nasty fall to multiple litigation.
Yours faithfully, a Pensioner, who fears a nasty spill, So if I fall and break a limb, I’m sending you the bill.
