DEAR Editor, things are getting worse, So here’s another protest verse: The sad black binbag situation Smacks of colour discrimination.
Orange bags it appears are reprieved, Leaving Irish and Dutch folk quite relieved, But the sudden withdrawal of the blacks, Could force householders to withold tax, With health standards slipping, And a rise in fly-tipping, And orange bags doubtless abused, Leaving recycling sorters confused.
And coming out in a rash, As they handle some very foul trash.
The strength of black bags has been risible – pull em over your head, you’re still visible!
They’ve simply got thinner and thinner, The whole thing’s a proper dog’s dinner.
But the councillors don’t think it’s tough, It really goes without saying, Since the bags are just big enough To carry their take home pay in!
PCC has gone too far
