A PETITION from the residents of Scarrowscant Lane was handed in to the police station, and also the Highways Department at County Hall, regarding the traffic congestion in the lane (Horsefair Roundabout end).
There are cars parked on the pavement, both sides of the road, parking on the bend and also parking on the disabled crossing area.
The police told me it is not an offence to park on the pavement, they also told me it was a traffic warden’s job.
I went to the traffic department, County Hall and they told me it was a police matter (due to obstruction).
What we would like to know is who is responsible be for someone is hurt (three car crashes to date).
If no one can make a decision, perhaps I can suggest 20 gallons of yellow paint.
