WE are searching for unsung heroes in Pembrokeshire who go above and beyond what is expected of them to help support people with diabetes in Wales.

Every year hundreds of people across the country volunteer their time to Diabetes UK Cymru, making a huge difference to their communities and we want to thank them. This is why every year we give out our Inspire Awards to recognise people making a difference.

Our work would not be possible without their support and dedication.

We are inviting your readers to nominate volunteers who make a real difference before January 6 for their chance to win an Inspire Award. There are different categories that recognise volunteers for everything from fundraising to raising awareness of diabetes. There is even a special award for children and young people under the age of 18 who have helped us make a difference.

People can select the award they would like to nominate a volunteer for by visiting our website and filling in an online nomination form.

Winners will then be chosen by a judging panel from another part of the UK and will be presented with their award at our national Make a Difference conference held on February 20.

The winners of these awards will then be placed in a pool to be judged for the UK-wide Inspire Awards which will be presented in summer 2016.
