PEMBROKESHIRE County Council has wasted money on various projects especially the over hyped salary and fancy car of Mr Parry-Jones.

Now they have to rein in their spending why can’t the cabal, sorry cabinet, be held responsible for their errors?

They should not be attacking the most vulnerable in our society and their families and carers. Also the dedicated staff who help them at the Avenue Social Activity Centre in Tenby. The closure of this centre should never have been contemplated.

What or who wrote the report that led to this disastrous decision? What are their qualifications? When is the report going to be made public?

I have been involved in this field all my working life. The comment that the County Council will move to ‘a service that creates dependence to allow users to live as independently as possible’ is just callous and ill informed.

The decision/proposal to close the Avenue Centre must be reconsidered.
