AS Conservative MPs have been instructed to ignore constituents’ views on leaving the EU, I realise I would be wasting my time by writing directly to you, Mr Crabb.

You, Mr Crabb, and the Conservative Party never had any intention of voting to leave the EU and only included Eurosceptic promises in your manifesto because you never thought that you would be called on to honour those promises.

The Conservative Party was confident of being in another coalition government with the Liberal Democrats and you would be able to “protest” that the Lib-Dems were making it impossible to hold a referendum.

Your Conservative manifesto for 2015 was based on a lie and was written to fool gullible voters into believing that a Conservative government would campaign for a fundamental change in EU rules and practices.

David Cameron was petrified when he found that the threat of an SNP/Labour coalition government had frightened the electorate into voting Conservative.

This meant that you now had to pretend to keep your manifesto promises. We have seen the result of this pretend “renegotiation”, where Cameron asked for none of the things which were promised, and of course, he actually got nothing.

Your support for this fraud is understandable, as you have your position up the greasy pole of government to maintain. H owever, having been fooled into voting for you at the last election, I can assure you it will never happen again.
