THERE have already been two public consultations on the reorganisation of Secondary School education in Haverfordwest.
On both occasions the weight of evidence, and equally as important, public opinion, was against removing all children from the academic environment of school to complete their further education in the Technical College.
The latter institution is biased towards vocational training, whereas a Sixth Form within a school is focussed on providing education that should enable children to progress to university.
The second consultation had 77% of respondents against removing Sixth Form education in Haverfordwest’s schools.
Why are Pembrokeshire County Council so arrogant that they refuse to listen to local people and continue to waste Council Tax payers’ money by instigating a third consultation?
To prevent the removal of school Sixth Form provision in Haverfordwest I urge all local people to canvas their Councillors and to stand up against the arrogant, bullying attitude of Pembrokeshire County Council.
