I HAD occasion to write to Pembrokeshire County Council re the toilets in Tenby when we visited at the end of last year with visitors from America and found that they had started charging to use the loo and made it very difficult to get in and out.

I feel the urge (excuse the pun) to write again.

My daughter recently visited Broad Haven (North) with her three month old baby in a buggy, she needed the loo but as seems to be the norm ‘they had done their worst and installed a contraption that in no one could get a buggy past.

She wasn’t going to leave her baby outside so she couldn’t use the toilet!

I really think the council are very short-sighted or haven’t looked at what is being installed in the toilets over the county – don’t they have babies or children?

And as for trying to get out of the toilets and having to press a button to release the turnstile – I can’t think of anything more unhygienic (how many people don’t wash their hands?).

What do other readers think?
