I WOULD like to publicly thank the fantastic people who came to my aid when I was unexpectedly taken ill on the afternoon of Saturday, April 23.
I was driving from Haverfordwest towards Eglwyswrw on the B4329 over the Preselis, when I suddenly felt very unwell, and was unable to stop my car before I blacked out. I thank God that no accident occurred, even though I crossed the other side of the road and finally came to rest up a bank.
A man named Andrew came to my assistance and sat me in his car, whilst he attempted to contact my husband for me. A lovely lady named Tina, and her husband Clive, then took me into their house nearby and called for an ambulance.
In the meantime Andrew, together with others unknown, towed my car off the bank and parked it in a safe place, before continuing their journeys.
I would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Withybush A and E, and later at CCU in Morriston, for the wonderful care they gave me until I was given a pacemaker for a previously undiagnosed electrical malfunction in my heart.
You all helped in different ways to alleviate a distressing situation that day, and I am extremely grateful to you all for being willing to go out of your way to show kindness to a stranger. May God bless you all.
