IN EARLY February the results were published of the Welsh Government schools National Categorisation System for 2017.
Your paper published a significant article on the result for Ysgol Y Preseli, but nothing else about any other primary or secondary school in the area. Let me put the matter straight.
Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi also achieved the green top colour band meaning that it is a highly effective school. Additionally the primary schools at Cardigan, Llechryd and Crymych were awarded a similar green categorisation and those at Aberporth, Cenarth, Cilgerran, Eglwyswrw, Penparc and St Dogmaels were awarded a yellow categorisation, one stage down from the top.
The focus on only one school deprives your readers of knowledge about the high standard of education across the Teifi valley.
