ON EASTER Sunday 1964 a revolution in radio broadcasting took place in the UK when Radio Caroline started regular broadcasts from the ex ferry, “Fredericia”, renamed “MV Caroline”, off the Essex coast.

The BBC’s monopoly was shattered and pop music broadcasting in the UK was changed forever!

To celebrate this broadcasting revolution Radio Caroline North and Manx Radio have joined together to provide a weekend of entertainment starting on Friday 14th April until Monday 17th April 2017.

The broadcasts will be available via the Manx Radio Medium Wave transmitter on 1368khz and online on www.radiocaroline.co.uk and www.manxradio.com Forget Brexit and the madness of this modern world, dust off the old transistor radio and tune in to radio as it was all those years ago and should be again in the UK.

Happy listening.
