WHEN Prince William married Kate and set up home in Wales we were all so excited because we assumed they would get involved with the people of Wales and here we would have another Diana.

How wrong we were as the pair came over as work-shy.

Although they lived in Wales for three years they were only seen on three occasions a total of five-anda- half hours, but were often seen speeding off to the South East.

This can only be looked upon as a lost opportunity.

Their record since has been no better and is criticised by the papers although we must be realistic and ask: How can she live up to the very popular Princess Diana? Diana is more popular today than she was when she died prematurely 20 years ago.

We now read that the Duke and Duchess are sueing the French papers for printing a picture of her topless.

Let’s face facts, the Duchess knew that the press are always looking for a story especially when the royals are involved, and all I can say she should have known better. On this occasion she should not sue the papers to draw more attention to her shortcoming.

The Queen and the Duke are extremely popular and we must ask the question, who is there to take their place when the time comes, or are they the end of the line?
