New pool is a ‘shambles’

Dear editor

Despite the vast amount of money and time taken to build the new flagship Leisure Centre in our County Town I have been continually disappointed whenever I have used the new swimming pool. Right from the opening date there have been problems with timetabling, pool temperature, queues etc. and now the latest fiasco regarding locker ‘keys’ is the last straw.

I have spent ages studying the four timetables for the four separate pools and have struggled to find suitable sessions during the week when both my daughter and I are able to swim.

This facility should encourage participation at all levels and it appears the elite are getting preference whilst the general public are an afterthought. What a shambles!

at least haverfordwest HAS 4 pools, St Davids, the only CITY in our county doesn't have one anymore.

this problem occurs in all leisure centres. the elite, clubs, schools etc are given priority and the public come a poor second.

There are too many grumpy people in Pembrokeshire the centre is brand new and they have done a lot on their opening of course it takes a while to get ship shape it always does, there are far to many moaners in haverfordwest who have nothing better to do ps the centre is fantastic and the staff are really nice
