Dear Editor

I am just writing to say a special thanks to all the guys at Western Power and Birch Utility Services.

In appalling conditions (pitch black, high winds, floodwater) on Saturday, January 16th, they worked tirelessly from 1am to midday to reinstate a power line that had been brought down by a giant oak tree.

We should all be grateful that these people are ready to go above and beyond in an emergency, come rain, shine, snow, hell or extremely high water!
