Siren call changed

I don't know who Mike Garlick is or where he lives as he hides behind "By email" in his letter to the Telegraph {January 18] rather than an address. I'd bet my bottom dollar though, that he is quietly lining his pockets with government subsidies paid to those in the green energy business while the rest of us pay through nose for the conventional stuff.

His rant about the horrors of global warming conveniently ignores the recently published fact that the average world temperature has remained the same since 1998. Which is why most of those with their snouts in the trough of green energy have slyly changed their siren call to "Climate Change" as the cause of the inevitable Armageddon if we don't change our ways..

Finally, if anyone believes that a few thousand expensive, inefficient wind turbines in this small country can make the slightest difference to the overall climate of the world they need their heads examining.
