I support your endeavours to regenerate the towns of Fishguard and Goodwick.
The pavements and roads through the town centres are almost impossible for the elderly or parents with young children to use safely. The worst being High Street Fishguard and parts of West Street.
Encouragement and support for small business's is essential if the towns are to regain their appeal. Fishguard has a legacy of entrepreneurs and crafts people and a wonderful setting, the centre is close to the beauty spots of Lower Town and the Marine Walk, it is relatively flat with convenient car parks, there is a natural centre bounded by the Church, Town Hall and attractive historic pubs.
Yes is a much better word than no - yes to a marina, yes to dogs on a 1/3 of the beach, yes to taking large vehicles out of the town centre and yes to supporting small businesses.
It is 18 miles to Cardigan and 15 miles to Haverfordwest keep food miles down and support Fishguard as a thriving market town.
Good luck Ann Shuttleworth Castlemorris
