Facelift required

Dear Editor:- Bridge Street – Bridge Street needs a facelift. With the exception of a few shops, it is generally drab. The shop fronts need painting to look attractive and inviting. Flowers always enhance and are appealing.
We have a lovely town, architecturally, but also are not wholly preserving it to the benefit of relatives and visitors.
The council have newly paved the town, great. If the ‘chewing gummers’ would now throw it into the bins provided, what a difference that would make?
Restricted parking also curtails visits. I wonder if the council can offer any initiatives to encourage enhancement and give a more business and shopper friendly appeal to the town centre.
