Dear Editor:- Main Street, Pembroke – I refer to the article in the Western Telegraph dated May 2nd Main Street Demise, I totally agree with the comments made by D J Lewis, Lamphey.
When I moved to Pembroke in 1969 it was such a picturesque town with Olde hotels and tidy shop fronts, sadly two of the hotels are now closed. What has happened to this historic town at the moment Main Street consists of weeds and neglected properties and overall look of tiredness.
If I were a holidaymaker staying in and around Pembroke, I can assure you I would not wish to revisit Pembroke.
Come on councillors sort the problem out and bring Pembroke back to the pretty town it used to be.
