Striking reason

Dear Editor:- You quote Sue Leonard, chief officer of PAVS, as saying the ‘people are going on strike over their ‘£50,000 pensions’.

Excuse me. The average pension is £4,500 for local authority workers and money has been deducted from our pay packets all our working lives. We will be lucky to receive back a fraction of our own money. That is why people have been ‘on strike’.
