Safety must be paramount

I am amazed that our first minister should welcome nuclear weapons to be stored in Pembrokeshire. Did he ask anyone here whether we wanted to host weapons of mass civilian destruction? Pembrokeshire made its feelings very clear against the lessor threat of storing nuclear waste at Trecwn. That was a potential risk to life and health while weapons are an active threat to them.

We rejected Polaris in Milford just because we are a busy shipping lane which does not need the additional risk of storing nuclear explosives. There is an early day motion before parliament to keep Wales free of weapons of mass destruction, we in Pembrokeshire are directly in the firing line, so let's encourage our MPs to sign it!
