'Dark' material

WITH reference to your story about the premiere of a youth film on page 13 of the Western Telegraph on July 25th.

Whilst I have not seen this film, I would like to make a more general comment about the sort of material that is being provided to young people in schools and colleges in Wales.

More and more material, which can be described as “dark”, is being shown and this includes material shown in primary schools. There is an emphasis on dark and disturbing dance and drama for youngsters some of which is shown in community halls.

This cannot be a good thing, and will inevitably fill the minds of young people with negative thoughts.

As a parent I urge you to find out exactly what your children are being exposed to and take action accordingly.

I question the motives of the Welsh government in promoting this sort of material.
