Choir set for Wynne-ing concert

Haverfordwest Male Voice Choir is tuning up for its annual concert, when a special celebrity guest will take to the stage tomorrow (Saturday).

Wynne Evans, best known for his role in the Go Compare advert, will be performing with the choir at the Sir Thomas Picton School hall.

The choir's musical director Richard Stephens said: "The choir's annual celebrity concert has always been a highlight of the choral calendar in Pembrokeshire, but this year we are especially excited that Wynne Evans has accepted our invitation to join with us, and we welcome a very fine singer to the stage in haverfordwest.

"Wynne's fine operatic tones will enhance the concert and I really hope that the locality will not only support his first visit to Haverfordwest, but also continue to support the choir like they have done in the past. I am looking forward to it."

Tickets, which cost £17.50, can be purchased from Castle Photography, in High Street, Haverfordwest, the Post Office, in New Street, St Davids, and from choir secretary Arthur Brady, who can be contacted on 01437 766417.

The proceeds of the programme sales will go to the Cardiac Unit at Withybush Hospital, and Riding for the Disabled.
