Wild woodland fun for half term
9:34am Monday 29th October 2012 in News
The National Trust is once again joining forces with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Rangers for some wild woodland adventures over half term at Colby Woodland Garden, Amroth.
These special partnership events are for families to discover together all the signs that woodland mammals are preparing for winter, whether it’s squirrelling food away, digging a cosy den or just adding some vital extra body weight.
They include plenty of hands on fun with indoor and outdoor activities including checking streams for wildlife, searching for mammals in the meadow, toasting marshmallows in the fire pit and making animal masks.
Wild Woodland Adventures will take place from today (Monday), Tuesday and Wednesday (October 29th-31st) with sessions from 11am-1pm or 2pm-4pm and cost £3 per person (free admission, booking essential).
To book, and for more information, ring the Colby Shop on 01834 811885.
Half term events also include a Witches’ Hallowe’en quiz trail every day from Saturday, October 27th, to Sunday November 4th (normal admission, no extra charge).
