Teen rescued from Ironbar Beach
11:40am Monday 29th October 2012 in News
A teenager was rescued by Coastguards and paramedics on Saturday afternoon, after falling and dislocating her knee on Ironbar Beach, Tenby.
The 17-year-old, from Berkshire, had been walking with her family when she slipped in a furrow and dislocated her knee.
When rescue teams arrived they found her prone and in a distressed state. She had to be moved quickly, as the incoming tide was only ten metres away.
Coastguards assessed the teen and then carried her to Castle Beach for ease of ambulance access.
She was taken to Withybush Hospital by land ambulance.
