The 23-year-old victim of a fatal crash on the A40 has been named by police.

At around 11pm on Friday, October 26th, a two vehicle collision occurred on the A40 between St Clears and Whitland.

Laura Mary Anne Rees, from St Clears, the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, sustained serious injuries which proved to be fatal.

Four occupants from the second vehicle, including two children, were taken to West Wales General Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“Miss Rees’ family have asked that they are given time to grieve in private and that their privacy is respected,” said a police spokesman.
