5:07pm Monday 29th October 2012 in News
Milford Haven’s new £3m health centre opened its doors to the public for the first time today (Monday).
The centre will replace the current GP surgery buildings of Barlow House and Robert Street.
Services currently provided from Hakin Surgery will also be relocated in the new premises.
The new health centre will also accommodate midwives and health visitors from York Street Clinic and health visitors and districts nurses from Hakin Surgery.
An independent pharmacy will be located within the new facility.
“This is an exciting development for health services in Milford Haven," said Hywel Dda Health Board interim county director for Pembrokeshire, Mark Brandreth.
“This new facility addresses a number of access issues for patients including improved car parking and improvements for disability access.”
The scheme has been developed in partnership between the health board, GP practices, Community Health Council, NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership – Facilities Services and Assura Properties Ltd.
