A new range of one-day workshops are being launched at Neyland Community Learning Centre this month.
One-day workshops on traditional stained glass, sugarcraft and Christmas floral art will be hosted at the centre located at Neyland Community School in John Street.
Further one-day workshops will be available in the new year, including art landscapes.
The classes complement a wide range of courses already offered at Neyland Community Learning Centre (CLC).
Courses include art, card making, dancersise, belly dancing, salsa, yoga, Tai Chi, colour analysis, local history, languages (German and Italian), and photography (using your compact digital camera).
Also available are computer classes for beginners, learning more about using the internet and how to use email, and ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence). In addition, there are free classes in essential skills for anyone wanting to brush up their English or maths.
County Councillor for Neyland East, Simon Hancock, said he was impressed with the range of classes at the CLC.
“I would urge anybody interested in the courses or workshops to pop along to the centre, which is in the new primary school in John Street, to find out more about what’s on offer,” he said.
