Work is due to begin on Tenby's Premier Inn this month.
The site of Tenby's new Premier Inn is one of three across south Wales which have been acquired on behalf of the company by property services company DTZ.
As the Western Telegraph recently reported, Premier Inn – which is the UK's largest hotel chain – plans to open a 61-bedroomed hotel and restaurant on part of the former Royal Gatehouse Hotel site.
Construction on the development is due to begin this month, with the completion date scheduled for the end of 2013.
DTZ was appointed by Premier Inn in early 2011 to acquire all of its hotel and restaurant sites across Wales.
Andrew Gibson, senior surveyor at DTZ in Cardiff, said:
“Premier Inn identified the south west and Wales as a key market for growth, and we are delighted to have been involved in these deals, taking them closer to their target of 65,000 Premier Inn bedrooms by 2016.”
