Community projects that invest in the health and wellness of the local population can tap into a grant fund of £100,000.

The Hywel Dda General Fund has made £100,000 available to support community healthcare improvement projects in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. It will provide grants of up to £10,000 for projects that fit the themes of either care closer to home, investment in prevention, or reducing lifestyle-related illnesses.

Peter Llewelyn, assistant director of strategic partnerships, said: “Improving the health and wellbeing of our population is a key priority for Hywel Dda Charitable Funds. By supporting voluntary and community groups who are developing this important work we are investing in a better lifestyle for everyone.”

The scheme is being administered in each county by the relevant county voluntary council on behalf of Hywel Dda Charitable Funds. In Pembrokeshire it is being administered by Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services.
