Up to 10cm of snow falls overnight in parts of county
9:56am Tuesday 22nd January 2013 in News
Snow has fallen in parts of Pembrokeshire overnight, with up to 10cm over the higher land in the north of the county and in the Crymych area.
The Met Office is predicting scattered snow showers during the day, however there is some uncertainty as to whether we will see snow tonight.
Pembrokeshire County Council has highlighted these current Issues:
- Traffic currently moving slowly on the higher parts of the A487.
- On minor roads in the north there is some disruption and some refuse collection routes may either be suspended or delayed as crews individually risk-asses routes.
- Only two partial school closures – Ysgol y Preseli in Crymych closed to Years 7-9 and Y Porth Satellite Unit for Portfield Special School (based at Ysgol y Preseli) will be opening at 10am.
