Snow update: School closures and weather update

Pembrokeshire County Council has confirmed that Ysgol Y Preseli, Crymych, Ysgol Y Frenni, Crymych and Ysgol Clydau, Tegryn are all now closed due to heavy snow in the north of the county.

The latest council information:

• Tavernspite School is advising parents to collect children if possible.
• At present all main routes are open.
• The Tegryn to Bwlch y Groes road remains closed, but is being worked on, hopefully to be reopened this afternoon.
• Other untreated roads are passable with care.
• Maenclochog School latest to close.
• Precipitation is falling as snow in central and northern parts of the county. The band of weather is currently travelling from south east to the north west. It is expected to have cleared the county by 5pm but may cause short term disruption.
