Heavy rain has caused flooding tonight (Friday) across west Wales with Whitland, Narberth, Haverfordwest and  near St Davids among the areas hit.

Rain has fallen for much of the day and caused hazardous driving conditions.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service began receiving calls at about 7pm.

The area around Narberth rugby club is understood to be among the areas most badly affected.

And reports on social media sites suggested the river Cleddau was close to bursting its banks in Haverfordwest.

Many other roads across Pembrokeshire were reported to be affected and drivers urged to take extra care.
