British Transport Police are currently dealing with an incident at a level crossing on the Tenby to Pembroke Dock line where a train and a car were in collision.
A Vauxhall Corsa car is understood to have been struck a 'glancing' blow by an Arriva Trains Wales service at around 5.35pm today (Monday) at the unmanned crossing at Summerhill Lane, Manorbier Newton, near Jameston.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured, and the car received minor damage. There was no damage to the train, which was the 5.09pm service from Pembroke Dock to Swansea, and was carrying eight passengers. They have continued their ownward journey in a bus provided by Arriva Trains Wales.
A British Transport Police spokesman said that officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from the Dyfed Powys Police.
He told the Western Telegraph: "They discovered that a car had been struck a glancing blow at the rural level crossing. They are now working to determine the cause of the collision, and have informed the Rail Accident Investigation Branch."
