Monkton man to be sentenced for harassing woman

A Monkton man who admitted breaching a restraining order banning him from contacting a woman is due to appear at Swansea crown court this afternoon (Friday).

Last month David Anthony Brundrett, aged 41, of Tenby Court, was warned that a prison sentence would be considered at today’s sentencing hearing on February 1st.

Brundrett admitted breaching the court order by harassing Kristina Anne Wray with text messages and phone calls.

Brundrett had initially been due to stand trial at Swansea crown court on charges that included making threats to kill her.

But last month Craig Jones, prosecuting, said there had been “a change of heart” by the complainant and a guilty plea to the breach offence alone was now acceptable.

Judge Keith Thomas bailed Brundrett to an address in Carmarthen until a probation report was prepared.

He is due to appear in front of Mr Recorder D N Miller at 2pm today for sentencing.
