Women to give talk on West Bank experience

Two women are giving a talk on the present situation in Israel and Palestine, following three months of voluntary service on the West Bank.

Volunteers Jane Harries and Maryse Newnham, from south Wales, are speaking at the Picton Centre in Haverfordwest at 7pm tomorrow (Wednesday, February 13th).

The pair have recently returned from the West Bank, where they provided a protective presence for vulnerable Palestinian communities, supported Israeli and Palestinian peace groups, and monitored and reported any human rights abuses or other breaches of international law.

There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion and refreshments will be available, including a speciality ‘Peace Cake’ made with Palestinian olive oil and Jaffa oranges.

The event has been organised by Pembrokeshire Peace Group.
