Haven Hotel licence extension application withdrawn
1:07pm Tuesday 26th February 2013 in News
An application to extend the Haven Hotel's licence was withdrawn hours before it was due to be discussed by Pembrokeshire County Council's licensing committee this morning (Tuesday).
The Haven Hotel had applied to extend the hours it can supply alcohol to 9am to 1am, Monday to Saturday, and 9am to midnight on Sunday, along with a number of other extensions.
The hotel's licence was revoked by the county council in November 2011 but a reduced licence was granted following moderation between the licence holder, police and county council.
The application had been adjourned last month as Dyfed-Powys Police was unable to send a senior officer to give a representation.
Speaking before the licensing committee this morning (Tuesday), council licensing officer Alun Williams said he had spoken to the applicant Sandra Watt and she had told him there were legal issues regarding some of the hours applied for.
As a result she said she wanted to withdraw the application and resubmit.
