A massive multi-agency rescue mission was launched on Saturday night, after reports were received of a person stuck in the mud off Pembroke Dock.
RAF rescue helicopter 169, along with Dyfed-Powys Police, fire rescue units, St Govans and Llansteffan coastguards, Angle lifeboat and Milford Haven Port Authority pilot boat were tasked to the scene.
Units searched the area, however the operation was stood down after confirmation was received that the person had made it to shore safely.
Police confirmed that the man, who they described as “vulnerable”, was located early the next morning and that no further action was taken.
