Tom hoping to cook up a storm

Pembrokeshire College student Tom Morgan will go head to head with Wales’ top young chefs today (Monday) at the Springboard FutureChef 2013 regional finals.

Last month Tom was the local winner of the Springboard FutureChef 2013 competition.

The contest, which helps young people between 12-16 learn to cook, saw students create and cook a two-course meal in 40 minutes on a budget of just £7.

Tom said: “The pressure was on, but I really enjoyed it. My main course was a ravioli dish with a light chicken filling and a cream sauce, followed by a lemon cheesecake.”

Tom represents the county at the regional heat at Coleg Morgannwg today.
