Hit the right note at brass band open night

If you like lively music and fancy a new and enjoyable pastime drop into Goodwick Brass Band and Community Band’s open evening tomorrow (Thursday).

Both bands are keen to welcome new members, young and old, and are happy to help beginners take up playing an instrument.

The open evening, which starts at 6.30pm at the Phoenix Centre, Goodwick, will provide the opportunity to hear the band rehearsing and attendees can try out instruments under the friendly, experienced guidance of band members.

“This is our chance to say thanks to the community for all its support and to show anyone interested how we develop our musical skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere,”

said conductor Luke Jenkins.

“Come along and find out more about our music-making, whether you are a complete beginner or capable of playing an instrument already.”
