Group to be formed at marina meeting
9:00am Thursday 21st March 2013 in News
A group aiming to influence the final design of Fishguard Bay’s marina and development platform will meet at the Ocean Lab tomorrow (Friday).
The group is being set up following two public meetings, attended by around 200 people, last month.
Many at the meetings voiced concern over aspects of the development, which includes 253 apartments, a 450-berth marina with workshops, stores and ancillary facilities and a 19-acre future development platform.
Although invited, developers Conygar did not attend either meeting. Participants decided that the next step was to set up a formally constituted group with a constitution and clear objectives.
With these it might be possible to meet the joint venture developer as a local liaison committee.
The meeting will consider the group’s objectives, constitution and name. It will take place at 2pm in the Ocean Lab and attendees are asked to come prepared to participate.
