Man remanded in custody over Tenby attempted murder charge

A Tenby man has been remanded in custody today (Tuesday) charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in the town on Saturday morning.

Steven Daniel Williams, aged 30, who gave his address in court as Newell Hill, Tenby, is charged with attempting to murder Joanna Elizabeth Hall at a property at Cresswell Street, Tenby.

On Saturday police said a woman had been rushed to hospital in a 'critical' condition after being the victim of what police described as a 'serious assault'.

On Monday her condition remained critical.

The road - which runs from St George Street to The Paragon - was cordoned off for over 24 hours following the incident, reopening at lunchtime on Sunday.
 

Williams appeared before haverfordwest magistrates court this morning and was remanded into custody.

He will next appear before Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday, March 26th.
