EAGER volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help sort through items donated to a county charity.

Employees from Abingdon-based IMI Cornelius helped East Oxford children and young adults hospice Helen and Douglas House sort through donations at its charity shop depot.

Warehouse manager Richard Morgan said the charity was extremely grateful for the help, adding that the 50 volunteers had put in more than 300 man- hours, saving the charity more than £2,200 in labour costs. He added: “In these hard economic times we are so grateful for this support.”
