A jury in a murder trial may hear from the victim from beyond the grave, a judge heard today.
Joanna Elizabeth Hall, aged 30, survived for three weeks after being attacked at her home in Cresswell Street, Tenby, on March 16.
John Hipkin, representing the prosecution, said at the trial of Steven Daniel Williams later this year the jury may be shown witness statements made by Miss Hall before her death.
Williams, also 30, denies her murder.
Mr Hipkin today updated Judge Keith Thomas at Swansea crown court on progress of the case.
Williams’ barrister, Chris Clee QC, said his client “was not responsible and he remembers that he was not responsible.”
The case will now be passed to a High Court judge and the next hearing will be on September 6 before Mr Justice Wyn Williams.
Mr Hipkin said it was unlikely the trial would start before November 14.
Williams was further remanded in custody.
