THE streets of St Davids were lined with visitors and locals for the annual carnival on Bank Holiday Monday.
Unlike previous years the weather was kind as the floats and fancy-dressed walkers made their way from Oriel y Parc through the city and onto the rugby field, where a host of entertainment awaited, including children's sports, fair rides and a tug of war competition.
The floats, which were led by a brass band and accompanied by the Coastguard and a St Davids fire appliance, included There Ain’t Nothing Like A Dame by Menevia W.I, Mrs Brown's Boys on Tour by Tregginis Farm, as well as The Flintstones, The Cricketers, Five Little Pigs Went To Market and Cinderella.
The Carnival Queen was Faye Clift who was attended by Jasmine Morris, Billy Clift and Ewan Colfer, and The Rose Queen was Mia Evans, who was attended by Erin James, Phoebe Guy and Maddie Guy.
Carnival organiser Keeley Rose said: “It’s come together really well and we’ve enjoyed brilliant weather. There are loads of tourists here because of the bank holiday and we’ve been well-supported by the locals as well. A huge thanks to all the carnival committee members and to everyone who took part in the day.”
