An 18-year-old man was airlifted to hospital on Thursday (September 5) afternoon after breaking his ankle while on Caldey Island.
The youth sustained the injury after falling to the west of the High Cliff Quarry at the far end of Priory Beach.
Tenby’s all-weather lifeboat, the Haydn Miller, was launched following a report from the ambulance service.
It made its way to the island with a paramedic on board, and seven members of Tenby’s coastguard team.
They were taken ashore by the lifeboat’s Y boat for the paramedic to assess the injured man and tor the coastguard to mark a helicopter landing site on the beach.
The Wales Air Ambulance then landed to ferry the casualty to Withybush Hospital for treatment.
