A 27 year-old Pembrokeshire man has avoided a jail sentence after admitting a string of charges relating to the making of indecent images of children.
Owen Emyr Davies, of Llysyfran, admitted 17 charges at Swansea Crown Court when he appeared before a judge on Friday, August 30.
The court was told that the images discovered ranged from level one to the most serious, level five.
Judge Huw Davies had warned Davies that the offences were serious enough to warrant a custodial sentence.
But when he appeared for a sentencing hearing on Monday, Davies was made the subject of a three year community order and placed under supervision for three years.
He was also ordered to complete a sexual offences group work programme, told to register with the police as a sex offender for five years and made the subject of a sexual offences prevention order for five years.
In addition, Davies was banned from working with children until further order.
