YOUNG artist Ruben Morgan is in the frame for fame as his paintings go on show in a Pembrokeshire gallery.
The six-year-old’s striking and colourful acrylic landscapes and sea scenes have delighted his family and are now being displayed to a wider audience.
The talented youngster, who lives in Tavernspite, has a mature eye for a view, and a real love of art, said his mum, Martina.
“Art runs in my family, and it’s deep-rooted in Ruben and his two sisters,” she explained. “I realised that he had an aptitude for acrylics, and he really enjoys the freedom. I think what he has produced is quite unusual for a child of his age - his work is really very special.
“We live on a farm, so he takes the rural views as his influence, and he loves landscapes and is very observant of skies.”
Ruben’s great-great aunt, Pauline Beynon, who runs the Oriel-y-Felin gallery at St David's, has now put three of his pictures on show.
“They are astonishing - so full of energy and colour,” she said. “It will be interesting to see how people react to them. They are just glorious.”
Added Martina: “I’m not pushing Ruben as that would destroy the enjoyment he has in painting. I just want him to develop at his own pace and let him decide where his talent will take him.”
