A MEDIVAC from Caldey Island took place on Tuesday after a resident suffered a suspected ankle fracture in a fall.
Tenby all-weather lifeboat, the Haydn Miller, ferried a doctor across to the island, together with members of Tenby's coastguard rescue team in case a helicopter landing site was needed.
They were taken ashore by the lifeboat's Y boat because of high swell on the island's slipway, and the craft also returned the team and the casualty back to the lifeboat, once his leg had been immobilised.
The man was taken back to Tenby to be met at the harbour by paramedics.
