A LOCAL man who was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty following the death of a dog in Goodwick has been released without further action.
The thirty-three-year-old was questioned following an incident at the Hope and Anchor Inn during the early hours of Saturday, August 17, during which the landlady’s dog was killed.
The lifeless body of Archie, a Bichon Frise cross, was found in the middle of the road at closing time, and there were reports that he had been thrown from the second floor balcony.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said they had received numerous calls relating to the incident, but confirmed this week that there would be ‘no further action.’
The RPSCA also confirmed that it had no ongoing investigations relating to the incident.
